Jeff,
Great review and insight to your LED upgrade! It looks fantastic. One question, did you have any issues with ghosting with that LED upgrade? I’m looking to do the same to my WCS 94 but am unsure if I might need non-ghosting LEDs.

I was a little worried about that myself, Lou. I actually emailed Pinballbulbs.com to ask the same thing before buying. I’ve heard ghosting is an issue with this game. Turns out that it wasn’t an issue at all. There is no flicker when playing and just a little strobing when the lock activates but that’s about all I’ve seen. I’ve been really happy with these bulbs and highly recommend them. Several people at the Louisville Arcade Expo last March made it a point to tell me how impressed they were with the lighting. I had this game there for two days of heavy play. You won’t be disappointed!

Thanks for the info Jeff! I went ahead and placed an order with Pinballbulbs.com but not for a kit. I picked out everything to do all the inserts, plus a few extras so that I have at least 1 of every color, plus 2 spotlight kits. I did order non-ghosting for everything, as the cost wasn’t that much more. I figure I can play with the GI lighting with what I’m getting, then order that later. I’m up in the air on the LED strips, particularly in the top of the field. Your teal strip looks bright (may be the picture), I’ve read about people covering some with tape. I’m going to research a bit and see, I thought maybe some spotlights up there might be nice, I’ll test that idea when I get my order. I may have some questions once I start installation…thanks again!
